There is no question society before us is fracturing.
National security carves barriers through our society of States and politics, and our friends and citizens carve, unknowingly, invisible lines between us.
Artificial intelligence is the most transformative sector non-specific cross-domain technology to be born out of human ingenuity since the steam engine.
Many of these national security barriers of which I speak are considered to be necessary safeguards for preventing any one political faction, authoritarian, or terrorist enclave from attaining too much power, or leveraging its data, or building an insurrection against the norms of our democracy or civil liberties.

There is no question our country is at a crossroads.
World affairs have suddenly and dramatically shifted courses, a pandemic has ravaged lives across the world and further diminished the prospects of the millennial generation, and political discourse seems to have both disintegrated into the hands of a few and become weaponized.
In the skies above, storm clouds have assembled on the horizon of previously sunny day seas, and climate change seems to be coursing through the air like the energy of a marvel on a mysterious white steed. A brand new branch of the…
When Captain Marvel switches sides she represents a breaking free of the burdens an old coalition of national identity, whom now have gone rogue.
When Brie Larson releases a trek through the Grand Tetons, recorded in secret and held for release, she may or may not know her publication is coordinated to bring attention to the national park at a time in which commercial appeal and potential national security co-align. She may or may not know that Grand Teton was central to a secret covert plan to execute national contact tracing in opposition to the ongoing strategy of Google and…
One of my favorite provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as Obamacare, and still occasionally referred to as That Socialist Plot To Destroy America From Within But Also From Kenya, is that hospitals are legally granted provincial allowances to extricate responsibility of certain patient services to third-party providers or entrepreneur businesses so long as patient quality-of-care metrics remain the same or are improved.
This policy scaffolding, under normal circumstances, allows three powerful reforms to happen at one time. Firstly, hospitals are implicitly rewarded for improving their administration and measurement of existing care structures, as…
With passion and purpose, let us begin — you and I together, one nation, under God — united in our love for America and united in our love for each other.
For love is more powerful than hate.
Hope is more powerful than fear.
Light is more powerful than dark.
This is our moment.
This is our mission.
Donald Trump is not going to be beaten just by insider politics talk. He’s not going to be beaten just by somebody who has plans. He’s going to be beaten by somebody who has an idea of what this man has done…
While enjoying tea at The Savoy in London, as men like me do, I was struck by the ambiguity of the Made With Lego installation that celebrated its holiday spirit.
“Go — No Go For Launch?” the installation seemed to be saying to me, when, really, financiers and me were all very much in a go-go spirit. Maybe it reminded me of the sweeping Led Zeppelin days of Big Rock and its gimblet ethos of led frontmen teasing mothers, hide your daughters.
But I had made the trip from Philadelphia to talk with ARUP, the massive civil engineering firm, to…
Tennessee is known for defense things: Oak Ridge, the boom boom maker; and Fort Knox, the daydream of cartoonish mustached villains tying dames to railroad tracks. For music things: Nashville, that little bit corny, little bit rock and roll foundation of modern radio communication networks; and Dolly Parton, its queen, doubly endowed with talent and feminine empowerment.
But you know what they don’t teach in…
